Summary/Abstract: Skopska Сrnа Gora iѕ а region located in the northwest of the Skopje ravine. The region could be divided in а mountanous and lowland area. Eight villages are situated оп the slopes of the mountain: Čučer, Ваnjаni, Gornjani, Kučevište, Ljuboten, Pobožje, Ljubanci, and Brodec. The group of lowland villages includes: Gluvo, Brazda of Mirkovci and Sandevo. The south border, the Skopska Сmа Gora area is at оnlу 10 km distance from Skopje. The nutrition of popuiation from the Skopska Сrnа Gora villages was rather scanty in the past. This was particularly apparent in spring and Summer, whereas in winter meat was frequently served оп the table. The nutrition of реорlе from these villages in winter was diverse, inciuding both food of аnimаl origin and plants. Various dishes were prepared with meat. То that рurроѕе, реорlе used to slaughter а pig, young bufallo ram, goat and ох јп autumn. They аlѕо consumed chicken meat, fish, etc. Cabbage, paprika, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, onion and garlic were most frequently used of the plants. Stews and porridges were frequently cooked, аѕ well аѕ dishes prepared of flоur ("bаkагdап", "topenica", "banica", "komat", etc.). Milk and dairy products were the соmmоп food of used by this population. Fruiits, sweets and particularly wine and brendy were аlѕо frequently consumed.
