Residents’ Attitudes towards Tourism Development in the Spanish Province of Huelva (part ІІ)

Summary/Abstract: During the last years although in its early stage, the tourism development in the province of Huelva (Spain) could be qualified as more than favorable and dynamic. It promotes the consolidation of the tourist products diversification with respect to contrast to the seasonal and territorial supply and demand. In the process of decision – making and tourism planning in the province areas, significant factors are considered the completeness and soundness of the information base related to the variety of agents involved. In this regard, until now, less attention has been paid to the role of the local community, notwithstanding its participation is greatly important for implementing sustainable business strategy. Actually, no objections have been raise against the fact that sustainable tourist development should be perceived and actively supported by the local residents, since the local people are in their rights to manifest their opinion and preferences about the type and models of business to be established and developed in their community.
