Sources and Metamorphoses of Poetics of Personism. New York School – Polish O’Harism – Ukrainian Poetry of the XXI Century

Summary/Abstract: The article traces the process of origination of the personist poetics in the context of esthetic experiments of New York School of Poets, transformations of this poetics on the ground of Polish literature at the turn of the1980s and 1990s (so called “o’harism”), its influence upon Ukrainian poetry at the beginning of the new millennium. The author outlines the main principles of “personism” as a special kind of radical “poetic empirism”, explores its alterations in the specific contexts of Polish and Ukrainian literatures.
