Summary/Abstract: The specific expression mode of communication for specific purposes is the specialized text, which is both discourse and document. As discourse it is sequential and linear and it is read diachronically. As document it is spatial being, this time, read synchronically. According to the text nature, one of these two features might prevail. Both features should, however, coexist in order to ensure a highest degree of readability.
