Summary/Abstract: The article is a comparative study of 'Zatoka Białych Niedźwiedzi' by J. J. Szczepański and 'North Diary' by Mariusz Wilk. The analysis attempts to define the character of travelogue in both authors’ work, and to employ their work in order to outline the changes which the travel discourse has undergone over the recent years.
