Summary/Abstract: Modern Romanian higher education institutions felt the need for technological developments, more exactly, the implementation of e-learning programs in the academic courses, similar to the ones applied by private corporations. Specialists stress the fact that technology is not sufficient if it is not combined with the appropriate methodology, which teachers will achieve during their long term career. The present study focuses on the incorporation of the e-learning programs that a Romanian antivirus company applies to its relationship with partners and collaborators, which in time could become part of the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) required by modern universities in Romania. We will explain how 3rd year Marketing students at the Romanian-American University can benefit from e-learning programs regarding Competition, Go-to-Market Strategies, Pre-sales Techniques, etc., which are successfully implemented into the theoretical courses on Marketing Communication. As we all know how important it is to combine teaching with practical activities, in a modern approach, that could also have an impact on students’ future career, the article offers an alternative to the classical testing methods that could be replaced by interactive weekly quizzes, which are more appealing to young learners.
