Summary/Abstract: In the educational field all learners need to develop Information and communication technologies (ICT) skills and all teachers are required to use them in all activities: designing learning situations, implementing learning activities, student assessment, documentation, communication, etc. This paper addresses the topic of using ICT in Economics education and presents a study on the use of ICT by students preparing for a teaching career. The study relies on the information gathered from a questionnaire based survey, delivered to third-year Bachelor’s students and second-year graduate students which, in addition to specialized training, have opted for psycho-pedagogical training courses in order to prepare for a teaching career. Following the conclusions drawn from the data the paper will make recommendations in relation to ICT skills development for Economics students that are also training for a teaching career.
