Summary/Abstract: Nowadays education is no longer associated only with formal settings and traditional providers of knowledge (schools or universities). Business organizations run CSR campaigns on education in order to stir the publics’ awareness on certain social, cultural, or economic issues. Running a CSR 2.0 campaign on non-formal education implies that business organizations create these virtual environments where social media applications are used as a bidirectional information delivery system where stakeholders play an active role in the collaborative knowledge construction. Having as data three CSR 2.0 campaigns on non-formal education awarded at the 2010 and 2011 Romanian PR Award, we will provide a twofold analysis: a) a general framework of CSR 2.0 campaigns on nonformal education in terms of the framing theory; b) a comparative analysis of the online environments framed as treatment recommendations used in the three Romanian CSR 2.0 campaigns on non-formal education.
