The Servants of Allah in Power. The Influence of Islam on the Contemporary Politics of Arabic-Muslim Countries

Summary/Abstract: For the last two years eyes of the whole world have been focused on the Middle East and North Africa. The Arab Spring Movement have trundled through the countries from Morocco to Bahrain. In some of them it left a bloody trace behind its back. The recent revolutions are a background of author's reflection in which she tries to apprehend the role of Islam in today's Arabic and Muslim reality basing on examples of particular countries. The main goal of the article is to present Islam as one of the most important mechanisms that determine the course of events on the political arena of the region. It is a force witch which the local politicians as well as the heads of the world's powers need to face with.
