Causes of self‑disclosure among adolescents

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the present article is to analyze the influence of some factors such as the level of narcissism, gender or the type of audience on the predisposition for self‑disclosure among adolescents. In the literature in the field, there are few studies aimed at students self‑disclosure, but technological progress of recent years has led to a growing interest in this process from on‑line. This research was conducted on a group of subjects consisting of 245 high school students who completted questionnaires evaluating on‑line self‑disclosure and narcissm. The results showed that there is an influence of the level of narcissism and gender on disposition of self‑disclosure on‑line, but the hypothesis was not confirmed for audience from social media sites.
