Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to read the theatrical play by Lyudmila Petrushevskaya entitled Мужская зона (The Male Camp) through the postmodern, feminist and gender studies prisms. The author of the article points out that Petrushevskaya, although never consciously adhering to the Russian feminist movement, masterfully constructed her play’s text, in which the traditional image of woman was replaced by the category of femininity.
