The importance of biomass co-firingin electricity production in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the possibilities of using biomass co-firing with coal in the power system in Poland and indicates the potential environmental benefits resulting from an increase in the share of biomass in the production of electricity in one of the largest power plants in Poland. The article presents the most commonly used technology and the potential for biomass co-firing of biomass use in the production of electricity in Poland. At the end it presents the main conclusions.
