Summary/Abstract: This paper presents research on the interest of popularization of investments in renewable energy sources in agribusiness. 258 agribusiness-related enterprises have been examined by the method of diagnostic survey. The demand for energy is constantly increasing. This also means energy from renewable sources. A perfect place for the development of this energy is the country. Agriculture possesses the largest potential for the renewable energy sources, mainly biomass, biogas, wind and solar energy. Besides, rural areas are generally located at great distances from centers of conventional energy carriers and transmission grids, which results in the increase of the use of energy from renewable sources which belong to so-called dispersed power engineering. The research has shown that the level of knowledge of electricity and heating production using RES is low. In the opinion of the surveyed, most agribusiness focuses on investments, such as: biomass boilers, solar collectors and micro biogas works. Therefore, there is certain interest in the popularization of investments in renewable energy sources, but, as reality shows, it is often but declarations.
