Summary/Abstract: The author presents a survey of Hungarian political parties´ interpretations of the latest Hungarian and Central European history, the Trianon Peace Treaty in particular. He observes ideological and political circumstances of the Act on Hungarians Living in Neighboring Countries adopted by the Hungarian Parliament last summer. In his analysis he points out some controversies of the idea of integration of the Hungarian community being offered as a special Hungarian contribution to the European integration process.
