Self-Reflection by means of Auto-Polemics – an Interpreter’s Freedom or Subordination?

Summary/Abstract: Auto-polemics is a means of author’s self-reflection in Nabokov’s and Gombrowicz’s work. This limits the interpretation and makes the interpreter subordinate to the author’s legislature. The author occurs to be not quite free himself but rather dependent on the self-interpretation, self-reflection and play. The created piece of literature seems to be incognoscible because of the slipping identity and interpretation.
