Summary/Abstract: Ida Makay belongs to the generation of poets that started its career in the beginning of the sixties. The “kaleidoscope” metaphor fits well to her late poetry: she creates her condensed, dark, tragical poems with the variation of few elements. The review of her 2001 volume approaches its subject with the enumeration of her poetical tools on a structuralist-quantitative basis.
