The water resources are among the main elements of the natural landscape and they also have a major importance in the tourism activities, both as material support and as tourism sites. The water resources, through their physical and chemical properties, facilitate the development of various types of tourism, such as tourism for balneotherapy, recreational and leisure tourism, sports tourism and weekend tourism. In the studied area, the rivers and lakes are significant tourism resources, especially during the summer, for swimming, recreation, fishing and water sports; the mineral waters have concentrations that allow their use in various spa treatment activities and balneotherapy.
