Security Between Order And Freedom

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the hypothesis that the problem of threatened security, terrorism, and wars, as well as the need to contribute to global security, has an important effect on the order and freedom in a country. The effect is manifested in limiting freedom to preserve the order, so instead of the two being inseparable, there is now a dilemma – order or freedom. After providing definitions of terms, the paper explains the main schools of thought favouring either order or freedom, with the aim of indicating, through their theoretical discourse, their reception, possible impact, and influence on political practice.
