Summary/Abstract: Gravitational zone of Novi Sad has been defined by the third and the largest gravitational zone of this city. We performed both individual and cross analysis of tourist economy indicators. We also analyzed the direct indicators of tourist economy, including overnight stays, number of beds, investments in tourism, number of tourism workers, salaries of tourism workers, price index of lodging services, exchange rate for the euro, as well as the derived indicators: average length of stay and capacity utilization. The observed period was the first decade of the 21st century (2001-2010). We defined the strength of connections and impacts of certain indicators of tourism economy on other indicators. The research revealed that the number of overnight stays did not change significantly, but its structure, i.e. the share of domestic and foreign tourists in the total overnight stays, did change in favour of the latter. The number of beds grows significantly, the number of employees decreases, whereas the salaries remain the same, despite their nominal increase.
