Education in the field of ecological knowledge and sustainable development of the region

Summary/Abstract: Combining economic objectives, environmental protection and social development is possible, but requires adequate knowledge. Knowledge of the idea of sustainable development enables later acceptance of its rules. Knowledge is therefore a key factor of success – it needs to be continually expanded and complemented. The issue of knowledge and environmental education are raised in this article both from the angle of companies and local communities. Nothing provides such effective implementation of the principles of sustainable development as awareness of the consequences of the lack of it.
