Summary/Abstract: The results of the Polish edition of the World Internet Project 2011 indicate gender differences both in the intensity of Internet usage and the ways in which it is used. Women spend less time online, have shorter experience online, and express less openness towards online relationships or services. The main gender difference in the kinds of activities undertaken online concerns entertainment – men engage much more often in activities such as playing games, listening to music or the radio, watching films, or looking for humorous content than women do. Having said that, it should be noted that the differences are not dramatic, indicating the small size of the “gender gap” among Polish Internet users.
