Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the present-day condition and the availability of textbooks which approach the Croatian language as a foreign or second language. This author gives us an overview of some of the research papers about textbooks of Croatian and textbooks published in Croatia and abroad. In addition, she specifies general attributes of textbooks available, and gives guidelines which could provide assistance to authors of such textbooks.
