Summary/Abstract: Israel regards anti-Semitism as one of the most serious threats to its security. It does not underestimate it, though anti-Semitism often refers to the sphere of media and verbal propaganda, and does not directly threaten the existence of the state, which is well guarded by, among others, close relations with the most powerful country in the world and by building its own defence capabilities. What is particularly concerned for Israel is so-called „new anti-Semitism” which is, in Israeli opinion, as well as traditional one, a serious threat to peace. The Israeli government, especially since the Durban Conference in 2001, starts to coordinate anti-Semitism activities and has expanded this on the international arena.
