Summary/Abstract: The establishment of a European Defence Agency which brings together the efforts of European countries in the development of the European defense area was a goal fulfilled in 2004. The European Defence Agency promotes European cooperation with respect to military capabilities, weapons, research, new technologies and the strengthening of the defense industry. The agency has grown from year to year by launching successful operational projects that support the Member States in the development of their defense capabilities for crisis management operations.
