Semantic and Magical Aspects of the Philosophical, Poetic, and Music Romantic Idiom

Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes several faulty representations of the Romantic idiom. First, a certain primacy of subjectivity is debunked, upon its being discovered in the space of the poetic and philosophical discourse. In addition, the paper deals with the claim of the music-inspired „quality of penetration” as a distinctive feature of the Romantic idiom and ethos. Last but not least, the Romantic idiom is analyzed from the point of view of the unity in diversity of philosophy, poetry, and the arts, in so far as the fusion of the forms of human creativity are concerned.
