The role of the foreign direct investment and a way of stimulating

Summary/Abstract: The primary purpose of this work is to indicate the importance of foreign direct investments and their impact in the modern economy as well as explain possible ways to encourage foreign investment. Continuous process of integration of world economy has led to changes in the attitudes of the recipient in relation to foreign direct investment. On such investments, the development countries no longer look with suspicion and restraint, and controls and restrictions to entry have been superseded by selective government policies that are designed to encourage the inflow. However, not all countries are equally successful, nor the effects or foreign direct investment in all countries are equal. The success of the strategy selected, primarily depend on the level of overall social and economic development of the country. Needed is the ability of government and domestic companies to optimally utilize the benefits of foreign direct investment.
