Summary/Abstract: As of academic year 2009-2010, “Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad has an integrated structure, proposing an education offer that comprises over 37 majors at bachelor level, 54 in-depth study programs at master level, 6 specialized postgraduate courses, a Doctoral School in the field of Medicine and Biology, and a Postdoctoral School, founded among the first postdoctoral institutions in Romania. With a number of over 20,000 students, master candidates and doctoral candidates, with over 40,000 alumni, the University is a founding member of the Private Accredited University Union of Romania and has ongoing partnerships with 38 Universities overseas and 18 Institutes of scientific research – which facilitates the organization of joint bachelor, master and doctorate study programs, and international mobility for students and teaching staff members.
