THE STORY OF SILYAN THE STORK AND MACEDONIAN REALITY

Summary/Abstract: This article represents some kind of attempt of mystification of the story of Siljan the stork, written by the patriarch of Macedonian narrative folklore, Marko Cepenkov. The text is conditionally divided into two parts. One explains the tangency points of certain narrative aspects, mainly mini-genres (=formulas-expressions) in the story with contemporary Macedonian reality, ie their reflection in the cultural system. The second, is trying to imitate the narrative manner of Cepenkov after such a way as to simulate situation of conversation between the character Siljan, come today in the Macedonian capital, and some representative of the Macedonian government and the diplomatic corps in the country.
