Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to description of general principles of “provincial stories” typology. In the beginning of the article essence of the concept and topicality of the research is considered. In the next part of article “provincial stories” conception and these methodology appropriateness are described. If we choose typology principle of description, we may use some meaningful characteristic, such as: eventfulness of plot, invariant representants (including chronotope), functionality, connection with European tradition, national features, connection with precedent texts of classic Russian literature. For example author describes a plot about troubled marriage. It shows application of this theoretical model and presents a construction of descriptive article. In conclusion we can say that exploration of general principles of “provincial stories” has great significance in the modern humanitarian science context.
