Summary/Abstract: In the fictions of Mircea Eliade, the memory is a labyrinthic space and sometimes an saving ark. The resurrection of events that happened at the beginning of the world represents the being's periodic obligation. The amnesia followed by the anamnesis, the hypermnesia, the messages that trigger a ritual - all represent ways to know the Infinity. These themes are used by Mircea Eliade in his scientific work and are also transfigured into his fiction work. The characters of Eliade walk on an initiation road in a labyrinth governed by different rules and they get access to the general memory. The initiation ritual is based on an experience that imitates the Christian myth: the amnesia-anamnesis cycle is similar with the dead and rebirth paradigm. The incursion in the labyrinth of the memory is similar with the old journeys into the other world.
