Summary/Abstract: The death of Slobodan Milošević ended a chapter in recent Serbian political history. The repercussions of his death on Serbia are complex and multifaceted. While the commemoration of his death became a nationalist protest, there are no indications of a new nationalist revival or any re-evaluation of Milošević in the Serbian public opinion. The main victim of the untimely death of the former President of Serbia and Yugoslavia is likely to be the Hague Tribunal in the eyes of the Serbs and in extension, the process of coming to terms with the past in Serbia.
