Summary/Abstract: Cloning as a subject is very delicate for the reasons of various standpoints of legitimacy or the lack thereof. Cloning is faced with many moral questions. As much as it offers a lot of advantages, it also offers many harmful disadvantages, for humans, as well as for their environment. This paper analyzes moral issues of cloning, principles of cloning and genetics, deontological and consequentialistic approach, postmodern approach to cloning and the role of cloning in the XXI c. the results show cloning opened up very delicate questions related to creating human clones and use of human embryos in therapeutic purposes. The author presents major moral issues that follow from new technologies. The method used in the paper is based on gathering information by consulting certain literature and internet sites corresponding to the title.
