Summary/Abstract: Congressess are very important in the way leading to independence and the Independence War. On the other hand, the congresses in the Western Anatolia, where the invasion in the country was deeply felt, is of particular importance. Thanks to a number of congresses held in the Western Anatolia from June-1919 to March-1920, important thresholds were overcome in the War of Independence and the decisions to affect the future were taken. Even though they were local congresses in character, they had an inportant role for the future of the country. Alaşehir Congress, one of these congresses, is one of the most important pillars of the series of congresses. The Congress, held between 16 and 25 of August, 1919, bears the characteristics of being the only congress held in Manisa region. This congress had an impact on both the following congresses and the country in terms of both the desicions taken and its participants. On account of all these reasons, it is of considerable importance to study the participants of the Alaşehir Congress. Congress delegates from various parts of Anatolia undertook active posts in the War of Independence and served the country. The purpose of this study is to draw attention to the delegates of this congress, most of whom have been known only a little despite their contribution to the Independence War.
