Urban Development and City Feeling in Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca): An Interview by Zsolt Ferenc

Summary/Abstract: The ex-chief architect of Szeben compares the restoration workings undertaken at this site with the situation of another major Transylvanian city, Kolozsvár. In the latter case, the focal point of city planning is currently located in the area surrounding St. Michael’s Church, i.e. the city’s historical center. According to the professional architect, Kolozsvár has maximum potential as an urban site, which could be exploited with minimum investment, especially on the north-west axis, the historical core of the city's multicultural development.
