Summary/Abstract: The paper provides a list of lexemes which denote some weaponry or tools mentioned in the epic poems from Hörmann’s collection of Bosniac epic poetry. The analysed terms also indicate the historiographic and etnological picture of a society wherein a military lifestyle was greatly valued and respected, being under a strong influence of the military worldview. In addition, the examples provided in the paper confirm the influence of various civilisational attainments on the Bosniac population during the period of Ottoman rule in Bosnia, especially in the 19th century, although some poems date back from an earlier period. Also, the language corpus points to a specific cultural context of the society and particular, colourful features of the Bosnian language.
