Summary/Abstract: Starting from the republishing of one of the oldest books on Romanian Mythology by Tudor Pamfilie, Zigu Ornea makes an exegesis of the whole activity on this field. The Romanian village society, until not long ago an immediate reality in the Romanian landscape is an excellent ground of studies performed by monographers, mythologists and folklorists. The author particularizes a few names such as Dimitrie Gusti Hary Baruner Ernest Bernea and names some mythological figures present in Tudor Pamfilie's book.
