Summary/Abstract: Andrzej Zamoyski belongs to the group of the most eminent reformers of Polish political system and economy in the 18th century. Andrzej Zamoyski acting as a chancellor in the hard times for Poland, prepared reforms concerning public finance, industrialization, urbanization and the project of monetary and law reforms called “The Code of Zamoyski”. He managed to carry only a part of his reforms into effect. Zamoyski being a great magnate set an example of good public attitude by introducing rental rate for peasants in his properties in 1760.
