Summary/Abstract: The principle of equal opportunities is seen as a collection of rules and norms, the implementation of which ensures equal access in the administration and running of businesses, companies by both men and women. The emerging private sector appeared due to free initiative and not to transfer from the state to the private sector presents a general picture of an atomized and extremely scattered sector. So that placing women in the above mentioned picture becomes a risky issue. We could conclude that for Romanian women the economic initiative is not a challenge. On the other hand, the picture of multinational companies activating in Romania does not bring big changes.
