Summary/Abstract: Among the multitude of information given to potential purchasers of consumer goods, the information about price levels and price structure is especially important. On the basis of the results of a lot of research, the methods of prices transmission and their perception were developed. Particular attention was paid to the effective and cognitive context of this information, as well as to the meaning of the price in informing about promotions, the role of price information in various distribution channels and the perception of price information, if odd pricing applies.
