Summary/Abstract: The terrorist attacks that have shaken the whole world through their amplitude and violence, continue to bear dramatic repercussions. The statistics present billions of dollars of damage while continuously adding other victims to the already huge number of dead or wounded. Victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and London, experienced terror and will feel its taste for a long time to come. There are no parameters to quantify the pain and no insurance companies have been created so far to compensate victims of terrorism for their insomnia, nightmares or tears of helplessness. Terrorism has long term consequences, sometimes spread over several generations, while engaging in such a traumatic episode causes wounds that will never heal, and involves bearing serious mental and psychological changes that often lead to serious mental disorders.
