Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the orientation and spatial localization meanings of spatial cases in the standard variant of Udmurt. The system of orientation used in modern Udmurt is represented by essive, lative, elative and prolative cases. According to the use of postpositions and case affixes, localization models of Udmurt may be divided into two types: localizations expressed by postpositive constructions and localizations expressed by case ~ postposition forms. Examples from literary texts prove that four types of basic localization models are characterized by the use of both case affixes and postpositions, while other types are limited to the use of postposition forms.
