Summary/Abstract: This article examines the structure of etymology-semantic microfield formed by lexical units with native and borrowed basics -to eat and -phage [<gr. phagos devouring] and to take the life from anyone isolated from the semantic field. Foundations -to eat and -phage are tops of nests – accordingly the lexical-derivational and root nests (mixed). It was revealed that borrowed words call generic class of animals, "which differ by the nature of power", derives with the ancestral bases can denote generic and specific class of animals.
