Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, we are undoubtedly facing the issue of the most influential and frequently used neologisms, i.e. English-origin words. The present article proposes the analysis of a number of English borrowings selected from MDN (2008) – The Great Dictionary of Neologisms and DEX (2012) – The Explicative Dictionary of the Romanian Language, letter E, in terms of pronunciation and spelling-related adaptation to the Romanian language system. The results showed that the greatest majority of these neologisms were completely adapted to the Romanian language system.
