Summary/Abstract: Our study aims at selecting words compound by abbreviation, found in Mircea Cartarescu’s novel Orbitor. Within these compound words, an important role is assigned to logos, a wide-range process of lexical dynamics, which manifests itself in all the modern languages and that the writer uses successfully. Another type of compounds, less frequently used in the novel, is represented by acronyms, also known as acronym-type cursive reading logos, created rather to give the impression of an ordinary word.
