GLOBALIZATION AND THE LANGUAGE - special review on the Republic of Macedonia -

Summary/Abstract: In this study we tend to place the issue of globalization and the language in the Republic of Macedonia in a sociological context. For that purpose, the research was focused on assessing the opinion of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia on the presence of public signboards and company names in the Republic of Macedonia written in a foreign language; the problems related to the understanding of the meaning of the public signboards and company names written in a foreign language, as well as their opinion on the appearance of the public signboards and company names written in a foreign language.
