Summary/Abstract: Petre S. Aurelian was the time leading spokesman of the industrial bourgeoisie, bringing its contribution to the creation of that stream in favor of protectionist policies that would eventually inaugurate a policy of protecting domestic industry. The idea that dominates all thinking of Aurelian and around which revolve all his work, the supreme criterion in assessing any concept and any ideas, is the interest of the Romanian nation. From this perspective, the development of productive forces and the strengthening the economy represented fundamental goals of the struggle for existence and future of his country
