Summary/Abstract: One of the characteristics of the past decade has been the digitization of the total economic sphere. Pervasive influence of the information and telecommunication technology (ICT) was visible in small and medium sized enterprises. Unfortunately, it was not visible enough. The situation in the field of electronic business in the small and medium-sized enterprises is at an enviable level. There are a lot of open questions, regarding the scepticism protection problems, the method of payment, guarantees, the possibility of return of goods purchased in the electronic environment, etc. The objective of this paper is to indicate in which quantity the SMEs apply the concept of business in the electronic environment, which are the limiting factors of the low degree of e-Business appliance and what steps should be taken for its affirmation. It is also known that the usage of ICT in modern business has an effect on a company's production as well as its future development; however, the electronic way of doing business does not exist yet. Why?
