Summary/Abstract: The Romanian writers are interested in Vasko Popa more than in any other loreign writer because, on the one hand, he illustrates the success of a community (the Romanians from Yugoslavia) and, on the otherhand, his lyrics used to remind of Arghezi, Barbu - the Romanian Surrealists. He is an avant-gardist Serbian writer, therefore in opposition with the official Romanian ,"socialist realism", necessary to the epoch of relaxation, and also a writer for whom the archetypal images are essential.
