Călători şi călătorii la capătul nopţii
Wayfarers and Journeys to the End of the Night

Summary/Abstract: Even though we can't establish fundamental connections between the two novels: "Voyage au bout de la nuit" by Louis-Ferdinand Celine and "Craii de Curtea-Veche" by Mateiu I. Caragiale we can distinguish a certain connection concerning the reception of the text. The aim of this study is to cross the boundary of dephasation concerning the two literatures and to analyse a problem of the language which is nothing else than a way of superposing itself on the depicted universe. The harshness of the language has different premises in the studied novels and the act of exorcism through the word is the only accepted modality of a journey to the end of the night.
