Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to analyze of preparing and content of lections, which include the reigns of Paul I and Alexander I and were presented in 1930–1950-s by famous specialist of soviet historical school of researches — professors of Historical faculty of Leningrad University A. V. Predtechensky and S. B. Okun’. On the basis of published courses and investigations and private archives of two historians author reconstructs a repressive atmosphere in soviet science and higher school, political and ideological context of restoration oh teaching of civil history in universities.
